During implosion, extremely reactive microenvironments (hot spots) arise, locally characterized by very high temperatures, intense pressure waves and hydraulic jets, in turn associated to micro-pyrolysis events, and limited generation of oxidant radicals (absent any applications to matrices with high content of biological material and\/or solid particles, the most efficient and feasible technique foresees the coupling of one or more hydraulic pumps with Venturi-shaped reactors with suitable geometry, whose details account for both criticalities and outstanding opportunities of hydrodynamic cavitation-based importance:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degasification of liquid matrices;<\/li>\n<li>Remarkable increase of mass and heat exchanges;<\/li>\n<li>Volumetric and more efficient heating;<\/li>\n<li>Disintegration \u2013 or increase in porosity \u2013 of solid substances;<\/li>\n<li>Remarkable size reduction of oil drops and lipid granules;<\/li>\n<li>Reduction of surface tension, with consequent increase of the miscibility of different liquids;<\/li>\n<li>Molecular-scale pyrolysis, depolymerization and degradation of hydrophobic substances;<\/li>\n<li>Inactivation of the bacterial load, as well as some
